Named after Django Reinhardt, the influential jazz figure of Gypsy origins, Django is the meeting point of influences reaching to Asia, Latin America and North Africa with a distinct Mediterranean accent. Both the menu and the dÈcor are designed to reflect the flavors and nuances of these cultures.

Django features a street level bar and restaurant with a mezzanine and an open-air patio-deck for al fresco dining or libations. The basement level - aka The Belly- features live music, cabaret, DJs and dancing.

Although nomads in their own right, the driving forces behind Django have already been an intrical part of the Atlanta scene: Arnaud Michel, Jean-Frédéric Perfettini, Brendan Brennan and Rodney Kazemi.

10 years ago, the ProvenÁal born Arnaud Michel and the Corsican Jean FrÈdÈric Perfettini launched Anis Bistro, the famed Mediterranean bistro in Buckhead, and later brought a taste of Provence in Roswell with their Pastis Restaurant.

Before his Miami hiatus where he contributed to Blue, the south beach bar & lounge and the international dance music event, the Winter Music Conference, Brendan Brennan was a midtown pioneer, with the art parlor disco lounge, the Nomenclature Museum. Before moving back to Atlanta last spring, he took the role of GM at Lola, a venue owned by DJ John Digweed and CROBAR.

Globe trotter, Persian born Rodney Kazemi is a veteran art broker, dealing pieces of various influences by local, national and international artists.

The cuisine at Django is the domain of Chef de Cuisine, Richard Wilt, known for his succulent preparations at Anis and Pastis.

James Booth, the creative mind behind Djangoís décor as well as the interiors of Cherry, Mumbo Jumbo, Nomenclature Museum and Deux Plex, joined forces for the occasion with French local artist and crafstman, Philippe DeCamier.
